2022 Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen Contest

Saturday April 9, 2022

Spanish Fork Fairgrounds – High Chaparral

Check-in: 8:30 am – 9:30 am

Contest begins at 10:00 am in the Large Indoor Arena

Contestants for the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen Contest must:

  • Not be a former Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen.
  • Be 16 years old (on or before the date of the contest) to 26 years of age.
  • Have a single marital status, never married, no children.
  • Agree to forfeit title and repay all compensation and awards if duties are not performed to the satisfaction of the Diamond Fork Riding Club Presidency/Fiesta Days Rodeo Committee.

**NOTE: The horse used to compete in the contest is the same horse you will be expected to use during all events you will be attending. (unless death or injury prohibits its use)

Contestants will be judged on:

  • Horsemanship (reining pattern, flag run, presentation run) High Chaparral
  • Appearance
  • Personality
  • Prepared Speech (topic of your choice, 2-3 minutes in length)
  • Impromptu – questions given by the reigning Rodeo Queen.
  • Judges Interview

Additional Information:

  • A western or prairie dress is required for all events other than horsemanship.
  • Western attire with long sleeve shirt is required during Horsemanship.
  • Horsemanship reigning pattern will be given to all contestants during check in.
  • Refreshments will be served after the horsemanship competition.

Queen or Attendant(s) will be required to:

  • Represent the 2022 Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo and Celebration July 20-23 and 25th, 2022.
  • Be available to visit with City, County and State Dignitaries
  • Help advertise Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo in personal appearances
  • Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo
  • Queen Contest
  • Ride in rodeos, parades and grand entries as well as Springville, Lehi, Nephi, and Pleasant Grove City celebrations.
  • Attend lunches, sporting events, TV or radio interviews, community meetings and school appearances.
  • Be present and perform assigned duties for all five days of the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo (including performances, slacks, autograph signings, appearances, etc).
  • Mentor the DFRC Winter Series Queen throughout the 2022 year.
  • Judge the 2023 DFRC Winter Series Queen Contest.

Note: Contestants must have parent’s consent if under 18 years of age.

Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen will receive:

  • Trophy saddle, breast collar, tiara, sash, trophy belt buckle, cash, flowers, and parade banner and chaps to be returned after the rodeo.

Fiesta Days Rodeo First & Second Attendants will receive:

  • Tiara, breast collar, trophy belt buckle, flowers, cash, gift and parade banner and chaps to be returned after the rodeo.

Awards will be given to the winners in the following categories:

  • Prepared Speech
  • Appearance
  • Horsemanship
  • Miss Congeniality

Note: All contestants will be awarded 2 complimentary tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo and a gift for competing.
